Lying staff members and greedy boss.

I wish I could rate zero stars. I bought performance enhancing thumb grips for my ps5 controller because my rubber grips had come off. There were 2 sets I purchased, I asked the salesperson multiple times whether it would fit on a controller that doesnt have any rubber thumb grips and I was told multiple times by multiple staff it would fit. (I had my girlfriend with me who can confirm this) this cost me upwards of R400 at the store. I got home, put them on and they didnt fit. It was too loose. I went back to the store, the SAME salesperson helped me again and couldnt believe it when I said they didn't fit. So much so that he went and took out their own ps5 co troller with no rubber grips to test my theory. He then sees it falling off constantly, he tells me to take something else and I said no thank you, I would rather just have the money back since I was already disappointed. He then proceeds to call his boss regarding the refund, the boss then allegedly says "no refunds" because they cant sell the grips again due to the packaging being torn (note: there is no way to get the grips out of the packaging without tearing it) so I asked the salesperson what he suggests I should do. This was met with mockery such as "well dont buy things that wont fit" to which i responded that HE TOLD ME TO MY FACE it would fit. He then goes on a rant denying that he ever said they would fit and he has never recommended anything to anyone because those grips "don't enhance anything" however ON THE PACKAGING OF THE PRODUCT IT SAYS PERFORMANCE ENHANCING. I then said fine, I will take other grips then and he says "no, you have to take these because we cant do anything with them" and I looked at him blankly. You JUST offered me an exchange and now it is no longer possible. I then ask him "so what do you expect me to do with these grips you told me would fit, eat them?" And he started laughing very loudly. I find it infuriating that I spent so much money on thumb grips, was offered an exchange to no avail, was then denied anything of the sort and gaslit. I know he was lying about the grips because 1. When I walked in there, he was VERY surprised the grips didnt fit. He himself had to test it. 2. He claimed he would never recommend grips to anyone, yet, he handed me the same pair of grips in another colour when asked whether I would like something else. 3. The "boss" claiming they cannot resell the grips - nowhere in the store does it say "no returns/no refunds" and I have the slip where it is printed in big black letters "UNWANTED AND DAMAGED ITEMS RETURNED IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING CAN BE REFUNDED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PURCHASE." I would never recommend this store to anyone because it was honestly just a horrible experience as a whole. Offering an exchange, hopping on a call with the boss and then coming out and denying everything you had said/offered was absolutely idiotic to say the least.
