STAY AWAY FROM FUNGI UTILITIES & M&T Developers

I have had the worst experience of my life, first of all this company is contracted to or owned by M&T/MT development which has multiple properties around gauteng, i happen to live at one of those properties, Olivewood Village North to be precise, i moved to olivewood village north from Olympus in Pretoria East, i moved from using pre-paid electricity to using fungi utilities smart wallet the Agent who was assisting me to sign my lease was Mcdonald and the guy **** every second he got, i asked him about avarage consumption of electricity and water which he told me was about R1500.00 or less, there's only two people living in the unit, we cook once or twice a week, we Use a geyser, fridge, airfryer which we barely use, Dishwasher which we stopped using, and washing machine which we use 4 times a month and a kettle, i wont count the tv because its not a high consumption appliance, first month we paid R1200 for wallet creation and activation and management fee, i then deposited R1000. 00 into my wallet, after 5 days i received insufficient funds notification, which was very weird because R1000 used to last me 3 weeks in Pretoria, i deposited R1300.00 remember everytime you deposit money into the wallet we get charged deposit fees. That first month, excluding wallet creation fees, i spent R2200 + R1200 came to R3300, please note that i rounded the wallet creation fee to R1200, its not R1200 but almost, Second month, my consumption was R2100, last month, my consumption was R2663. 00, which did not make sense becase even when i switched off everything, they still charged for normal daily consumption, thats where i realized that something was off, i tried to raise this issue with fungi, they are very useless to try and complain to, first of all they will not even answer promptly and when they do, they are very arrogant, the ladies who work at their call centre are very rude and its very frustrating, i then called m&t head office they are also useless, the lady who was assisting me is Brenda and she is just as worse as the others.

I regret the day i signed that contract, honestly speaking the reason why i am writing this review is to tell other people who are considering moving into one of M&T properties that use fungi, please stay away, save yourself stress and money, because you will not be able to budget effectively.

I was deceived by the agent who was assisting me, had he told me about fungi before i signed the contract i would have researched it and probably would not have signed a 12 month contract, please learn from my mistakes and stay away from These Companies, M&T developers, Fungi and Olivewood Village North, find other complexes that have prepaid electricity and water, where you get consumption data from the city and not some 3rd party software that is manually manipulated to reflect incorrect consumption data.

The data is entered manually and they back date too many payments, my statement looks like a Christmas tree with all the backdated charges that appear every second week.

Every month end they stop debiting for electricity consumption so that when you deposit money into your wallet they can justify charging huge lump sums.

Let those who have ears heed my advise.
