Estate capture (****************)

So I have been living at Fish Eagle View estate for almost two years now. I have a fair idea of what my utility expenses should be based on the historical usage up to the point where Fungi Utilities took over. I am only one person living in the unit and my average usage has always been between R400 - R600 per month. The last 2 months I was billed over R1200 which is impossible, as most of the time I am not even at home due to my work requirements. I understand that the price of utilities has increased, but there is no logical explanation as to how it increased to this level. At the moment I am being billed R4.55 p/kW of electricity (This is the direct amount as shown on my wallet deductions on their portal). Although the COJ notice sent out a week earlier stipulated that the tariff per unit/kW will be increased to R1.82. Where is the R4.55v coming from? I have sent mails to their support email address, but am yet to receive any feedback. Trying to phone them on the number provided on their website is also useless as it does not even get through to their line. It has gotten to the point where it is not financially viable to rent within any complex which contracts them to manage the utilities, as they clearly do not have the ability to provide correct billing to any of the tenants. The number of unanswered complaints on Hello Peter should give a clear indication of what level of service they bring to their existing customers. Avoid these ********* at all costs.
