Pay back the money

On Sunday the 9th April, I bought items totalling R90.69 and paid using my debit card. The cashier scanned and the transaction declined, she tried again and it declined again. I checked my statement and the money had gone off my account. I asked that she call the Manager. The man was smoking and having a chat on the patio section of the store. I had to wait until he finished his smoke. He eventually came to the till and I explained what had happened. He intimated that I did not have the funds in my account anyway, I showed him confirmation of the transaction on my phone. He told me it was not his problem that they had not received the funds and that I should not make my problems his. He then asked me to leave as I was blocking the queue and other customers wanted to buy. On Monday the 10th, I called my bank to query the transaction. The bank cannot reverse the transaction as they say FLM has received the funds and have not approved the reversal. I am now stuck without my money and the cost of getting it back (in call costs and time value) is exceeding the actual amount I am owed. The Manager’s name is Miguel; I feel that he could have handled the situation better. I am a loyal customer of the brand as you offer fresh products and of course, your proximity to my residence. I have been left extremely disappointed by this incident and like for some corrective action to be taken in this regard. Moreover the treatment of customers by the management (Miguel and another lady he usually smokes with on the patio) leaves a lot to be desired. I feel that he misrepresents the FLM brand with uncaring responses to queries. I would appreciate feedback on the query. (I posted this on their FB page on the 11 04 17). It has been 12 days and the response i recieved has not assisted me in any way. I once again went to the Capitec Bank at Stoneridge and i got the same explanation that FLM has my money. I would really appreciate it if someone took me seriously.
