Misleading promotions and packaging

<p>On 5 May I submitted the following complaint regarding the Knysna to F&V's head office store via e-mail:</p> <p>Yesterday I purchased a pork pack (your current promotion) from your Knysna store. Upon opening the pack it was easy to see why you can afford to sell it at that price. Hidden underneath the meatier cuts was a bag of bones constituting roughly 20% of the total weight. If I want to buy pork bones for my dogs, I can an entire kilogram for R10 at any (honest) butchery.</p> <p>I am not happy about this and will be publising the attached photographs on Knysna social media groups to warn other potential customers about your dubious practices. Rest assured that your local store has lost yet another customer.</p> <p>I received a prompt response requesting my contact number to 'escalate the serious matter. Having not been contacted by anyone, I once again sent customer service an e-mail on 9 May. No response at all?</p> <p> </p> <p>I should add that I am not the first Knysna resident to complain about the local store using dubious 'techniques' to up their porfit margin, especially on promotions.</p>
