Expired Biltong with covered up proce tags

<p>So I'm usually never one to complain about products online, but seriously, I'm about to **** on the heads of Fruit and Veg as this involves my health. So I bought some biltong from the store in Fruit and Veg, Roeland Street, Cape Town today as I usually do and when I got back in the office myself and a friend noticed that it tasted a bit off. We ate a few pieces and then stopped as it started tasting like rubber. Now if you look at the photo, there are two price tags, what I saw was the one on top that says the expiry date is the 26.12.2016. The one below which was oh so smartly covered up I might add says the expiry date is the 19.12.2016. That's 3 days ago and this is a meat product. We went back a few minutes ago and spoke to someone by the name of Gasant and with a jokey attitude and horrible customer service s****s asked us " Well are you sick?". I would just love to know what the actual **** that was about? So instead of handling the issue in a polite and professional manner you want to joke about my health? I've worked in customer service for a very long time and never in my life have I ever heard of an employee not knowing the implications of dealing with the wrong customer. So under the The South African Consumer Protection Act, No 68 reads the following:</p> <p>Right to privacy.<br />Right to choose your product.<br />Right to fair and honest dealing.<br />Right to disclosure of information.<br />Right to fair and responsible marketing.<br />Right to accountability by suppliers.<br />Right to fair value, good quality and safety.<br />Right to fair, just and reasonable terms and conditions.<br />Right to Equality in the consumer market and protection against discriminatory marketing</p> <p>So if I have a look at the list, 6 of the 9 points have been breached. I have lodged a complaint with the Consumer Rights Council, and just to be clear, I don't care about a refund for the product, but myself and other consumers out there don't deserve to be treated in this manner. I have parents in the medical field, and bad food can poison people.</p> <p>I hope this gets resolved as soon as possible.</p>
