Bad and smelling bad

I have on a few occasions bought veggies there that don't last at all. Carrots that when stored in the fridge only last 2 or maybe 3 days then it starts to spoil and become inedible. the whole store and all the vegetables have the smell as if it was being stored next to rotten vegetables even after being washed at home. It also tastes strange, i think all veggies are kept together and the rotten ones just picked out and dumped close by. I won't go back to any fruit and veg in a hurry!
