AN APPLE A DAY WILL KEEP ME AWAY

There were no signs giving prices of applies so I enquired of a floor (store ? ) manager who called a packer to answer my question. I asked specifically for the price of the Granny Smith variety and was told \R20,00 for 1 or R25,00 for 2 packs\". Naturally I put 2 packs into my basket and, finishing my shopping, proceeded to the till point only to find the apples being rung up at R24,99 per packet. On challenging the cashier, she queried the price with the packer who admitted he'd made a mistake and that the till ring-up was correct. Not happy, I asked for the selfsame manager to resolve the issue. His reaction was simply to repeat that there had been a mistake. No apology, no offer of a discount - take it or leave it so I did.<br> <br> That outlet will not see me again. I drove out to the N1 City Access Park branch and spent my moola there where it was nice to know they wanted my money because I got my apples there and for only R9,99.<br> "
