Report of a well worn shoes within two months

I bought sandals at the cost of R480-00. Within two months I noticed that they were uncomfortable - only to find that the sole had cracked. Mind you I was not wearing them each and every day. I went to Springfield retail and report the problem. The sales ladies said they will report the matter to the manager. I received the call from the manager saying that the report from factory was that they were WELL worn and it was not a factory fault and that the shoe is a covered heal and has been damaged by walking on an uneven surface but will be given a 10% discount on my next purchase. I asked myself how come as I have pair of shoes which have lasted for almost 6 years and that I haven't relocated or changed the work place which I would have understood as the cause of the shoe damage. When calculating 10% discount of R480-00 I found that it is R48-00; meaning that I will spend R912-00 for a pair of sandals.
