Bad quality

I bought 2 pairs of froggie sandles for R500 each, the black pair is 100% fine and in good shape as I wear them most of the time, the silver pair after the 5th time of wearing the straps are completely stretched and almost too big for my feet, I can't wear them now as its stretched what a waste of R500. How can the quality of one brand be so different.
