"Hidden" costs

I app**** for a fibre line at home and I was told that installation was free. Installation was done and for months all is fine and I received no communication. Suddenly I get contacted by a debt collection agency about money I owe for the installation of my fibre line. Frogfoot, there are too many other connectivity options available to treat clients like this.
