Frustrating Customer Service

Frogfoot Customer Service has to be one of the most frustrating support experiences I've encountered. Unless you phone them yourself, you have absolutely no idea what is happening with your fault or outage. The only update you ever seem to receive is that the issue is being "escalated," with no meaningful communication, timelines, or progress reports. In contrast, my ISP, Cool Ideas, has been outstanding. They phone me twice a day to provide updates and check on the situation, even though the fault lies with Frogfoot's network. They are doing everything they can to keep me informed. Frogfoot, on the other hand, appears to be hopping away from the problem rather than communicating with affected customers. Reliable service is important, but when things go wrong, communication matters just as much. Customers should not have to chase updates by repeatedly calling support just to find out what's happening. Frogfoot needs to improve its customer communication and transparency during faults and outages. Simply saying an issue has been escalated is not customer service.

After writing a review on social media - I finally received a response from the social media manager with a promise that my fibre issue would be addressed.
Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a call or any meaningful update on the status of the repair.
After yet another follow-up call today, I received the same response I've heard repeatedly: "We will escalate."
At this point, escalation seems to be the only thing happening — not communication, not updates, and certainly not a resolution.
Customers don't just want promises; they want action and accountability. How many escalations does it take to get a fibre line fixed?

Good news — we finally have internet again!

Looking back on this experience, the biggest lesson is a simple one: communication matters.

Most customers are understanding when things go wrong. Faults happen, delays happen, and technical issues are sometimes unavoidable. What makes the difference is being kept informed along the way.

Regular updates, honest communication, and managing expectations go a long way in building trust and reducing frustration.

Thank you to everyone who eventually helped get the issue resolved. Hopefully this serves as a reminder that a service issue can often be forgiven; poor communication is much harder to overlook.
