Frogfoot had switched my line prematurely
In November 2017 I made the decision to move from MWeb fiber to Cool Ideas. I was aware that MWeb had a one month notice period for my package which meant my account would only move on the 31st Dec 2017. René from MWEB confirmed that my MWEB cancellation was dated the 31 Dec 2017.
I contacted Cool Ideas on the 1st Dec and I specifically said that I did not want to double pay for December and therefore requested that my line only be transferred at the end of December. They agreed to this.
On the 4th December my fibre line went dead. When I called Frogfoot to find out what was going on, I was surprised to be told that my transfer had already been processed. I ended up speaking to Belinda Mclnroy from Frogfoot to sort out the issue. Belinda told me that the transfer had proceeded and that I would definitely not be billed twice for December. I was surprised to hear that but as I work from home and was without internet I didn't make a fuss and just wanted to be reconnected ASAP.
A few days after being reconnected, I received an invoice from Cool Ideas for December. When I contacted Belinda to ask her why this had happened, she told me that it was MWEB that was at fault and that I should contact them for a refund.
After going going backwards and forwards between MWEB, Cool Ideas and Frogfoot, it was established that Frogfoot had switched my line from MWEB to Cool Ideas prematurely on the 4th Dec rather than the 31st Dec.
I have chased Belinda Mclnroy from Frogfoot regarding a refund but I am not getting any response to I have no choice but to take this up on hellopeter.com!
