Unrealistic interest

I last took on my account in 2019, I had a credit of limit of R3300. After exhausting the account I never took anything. My query is that I have been paying an amount of R300 sometimes R350 and yet this account does not decrease till this very same day. I really dont see what I am paying for. This is the 6th year still paying for a credit of R3300.
