unpaid refund

on the 5th of September i went to foschini stores in Cresta shopping Center in Johannesburg to return a pair of wedges that i received as a gift. they where bought with an RCS card the shop assistant said that she could not give me a cash refund but can only transfer the money in lto my bank card which will only be received after 48hrs. i gave them my FNB card not knowing that on the very same day my card was closed. days went by and a month later on the 5th of October i went to the bank to request a bank statement that is when i knew that the account has been deactivated and i asked the bank teller if there is a possibility that my money could be hanging somewhere but she explained that if you receive money whilst your accounts closed it goes back to the sender. i went to the foschini store with the proof that i had not received any money and my account was closed.Pam called their EFT department and they insisted that that money went out of their records even thought i never received anything. it has now been more than a month and i have not heard a word from Pam as she promised to make a follow up.
