unknown debt

My husband wanted to apply for a home loan but was declined because of me. Only to find out that I was on credit beuro because of outstanding debt of 11 years ago that I am not even aware of. I am very frustrated at this point because I went to foschini 5 times at different stores (No city, centurion mall, century city, Aliwal North, waterfront mall bloom and mimosa mall bloem) and nowhere can they find me on the system and customer care neither. I am transfered from one point to another wasting my time and energy with no success. What am I to do. Someone please help me because I had an account 11 years ago with foschini. I had no mail or accounts stating I am in debt still for the past 11. Please assist because your stores are useless in customer service or enquieries. I am beyond dissapointed angry and irritated.
