Store closes early and staff ignores you!

On Tuesday, the 2nd of August I drove all the way from a farm just outside Kenton On Sea to go the Port Alfred Foschini, I had been there the previous Thursday and noted the door said it closed at 18:00. I arrived there at 17:40, as I walked to the door I noticed the doors were closed and a girl inside trying on a jersey I walked up to the doors hoping to get a staff members attention, the girl inside ignored me, I didn’t think much of it at the time as I thought she might be a customer. She then walked to the changing rooms, I then noticed no one else was in the store, so when she came out of the changing rooms she continued to ignore me, I eventually got her attention, as she walked up to me she started saying “Closed! Closed!” I showed her my cellphone which said the time was 17:45 and pointed to the sign saying the store closes at 18:00, she said that they close at 17:45 and offered no apology or explanation. Firstly, if it is store policy to close at 17:45, you should change the sign on your door. Secondly I was there from 17:40, and the door was closed! So exactly what time do you close the door? Your signs should read accordingly. Thirdly I have held an account with Foschini for many years now, I really feel I deserve better than to be ignored by staff and having to stand outside the door begging to spend money in your store! Even the Ackermans at Rosehill which also says 18:00 closing time on their door only closed their doors at 18:00, maybe you should send your staff there for training! And not to mention there are better ways to adres a customer to inform them that your store is closed. Terrible service!

Good Day Odette
