Still haven't closed the account

Paid off my account and requested the cashier to close it, she phoned head office and they said the money hasn't reflected yet, they will close it the next day they said. A month later I received a statement with a balance of R43 I then went to a Foschini store few days later and asked the lady to assist me and call head office regarding the matter which she did and at first they were insisting I pay the money before they close my account which I refused as I had closed the account, and reached an agreement and they promised to close the account. A month later still receive statement with more balance and went to kolonade to sort it out. They tell me they will investigate that's not good enough I want my account closed now. Its refecting bad on my credit as im under tge impression it is closed.I'm supper fed up.
