Returning the damage goods

i laybye a jacket cost R650 on 03 March 2015 and taking out on the 05 May 2015.On the following day at home i notice that the jacket was damage, on Friday i took the jacket to the store but there was load shedding and i came Monday this week.the manager told me that i must bring the receipt which on the day i was taking out the lay bye i told them that the receipt was lost and thet say they assist with my certified id copy. what i dont understand i told them that the receipt was lost and they used the CERTIFIED ID COPY and why dont check the copy of the receipt that they have and refund my money please. another thing the manager told is that they donot do a refund. please help i ne<br> <br> thank you
