RETURN REFUSAL - RANDBURG SQUARE

How is it that a store as big as Foschini can refuse my return? I went to Foschini randburg square yesterday after work to return 2 items to the value of R850 and the teller refused to process the return because they do not have money, how is that possible??? at 17:30??? She would also not process the return to the card that I paid with??? how is this an ethical business practise, I spent money coming to the store only to be met with such? does the consumer protection act know that Foschini does not want to t=give customers their money back??
