Retail Staff should know their place

This afternoon me and a friend of mine have came across the most unbearable behaviour from a Foshini group staff member by the real name of Sephathi.

We first uncounted her rude attitude when we first arrived at the till,we kindly greeted this lady and told her we were there to pay for the cosmetic gift package that we have just picked in the store. With no sense of interest this lady scanned whatever that was in her hand then left us to wait. Few minutes later another staff member came over to the counter, kindly asked if we've been helped then offered to assist us. This very same lady with bond short hair by the name of Sephathi returned to the scene and started verbally attacking my friend (customer) simply because this friend of mine had made a remark that the previous lady (Sephathi) that had been at the till just up and left and seemed to have an attitude.

The most annoying part was the fact that even though personally made efforts of ignoring this Sephathi lady she kept provoking us as customers in regards to her being rude, bear in mind this was in an unpleasant tone of voice. What made matters worse was at the point when I calmly asked her to issue me with her name and she gave me a false name saying she was "Lerato " and refused to provide her surname. If it were not for the other staff lady that helped us complete our transaction, then later provided us with the real name of her colleauge,we would have been still made fools. Moving forward we then went in search for the branch manager to explain our concern and she seemed to sympathize and felt remorseful for how her staff member had reacted. However what still irritates and angers me is the fact that even when this Sephathi lady was called in by her manager and lectured about how she is expected to treat customers this "Lerato" aka Sephathi lady was not even bothered, she failed to spit out a simple apology. What boils me even further is that this kind of behaviour is right in one of our biggest mall. People need understand that when you do your job it doesn't mean you are doing us a favour we pay for that very same service that you are providing to us and If you feel you no longer want to work please stay at home. We have literally wasted an hour or more in one shop trying to resolve this matter inside the shop hoping that maybe this Sephathi lady could just say sorry for her actions then life goes on,but she clearly showed us that she owns that Foshini Mall of Africa and did not need our "small change". Sorry to say but bit it now makes sense why some customers don't even waste their time with these unmanned staff at the shops and report straight to the head office. Such behavior needs to be felt with.

Thanks for the feedback, however I would like to know how this matter will be dealt with and what is the turn around time, because it is totally unacceptable.Even after Tiny the Assistant Manager requested her to apologise she refused. She was just down right rude and her attitude stinks. Thanks to Portia who was ready to promptly assist. Please have the store manager contact me asap We are tired of tolerating poor customer service and even after we report nothing ever gets done.
