Refund on a purchase of nonpiercing jewellary-neck

A friend Bought a necklace from Foschini Standerton on the 12th May 2015 as birthdaygift. When returning the necklace as it silver and I dont wear silver. Spoke to Nthabiseng who said she cant take it back as the rule says jewellary are not accepted. but she will need to get authorisation from Area Manager. With an attitude she said my friend was told all jewellory are not allowed to be returned, yet i told her necklace is not a piercing jewellary. She said I can come the following day , but I advise i wont be in standerton on the 14th , I ask her to call me as soon as she got authorisation from Area Manager then I can come back on the 15th May. She did not call me, I had to go back to the Store on the 15th,When I ask if she got Authorisation.She said with horrible attitude ,No she never got it and there nothing she can do,When asked what is her Area Manager\s number she is not allowed to give it away
