Poor service from customer service

I've been trying to close my account with Foschini for the past four months,first I was told that it takes a while for it to be closed and a month later the account started accumulating service charges,when I called was told they will reverse them and close the account which they did but still didnt close the account.I called again then was told they owe me so I must go buy something,so I told them to reverse the money and close the account and the person agreed to do so now it's four months later and someone didn't do their job because my account is still not closed. I am so annoyed and furious about the poor service from TFG,it's so unprofessional and disappointing. I want this account closed ASAP.I will never open any TFG account ever again.So now am hold hostage basically by you guys for wanting to close my account yet when a person owes you,you harass them every chance you get.
