Not worthy of my time and money

Last Saturday, the 4th of June, I settled my account completely and also closed it.

I am self-employed and have been with Markham for probably about 2 decades. During this time I mostly settled my account on time and would have a good credit rating with your company.

However, the past 2 months have been very trying as I'm struggling with clients not paying me. I explained this situation to your debt collection department on several occasions, and did mention that as soon as I can, I will settle the arrears payment of R350 (on a total of R870 on credit). I reiterated my financial predicament a number of times to your debt collectors, and yet they harassed me about twice to three times daily. There are other financial institutions I owe much more money, yet they did not bother me as much as the Foschini debt collectors.

Given the untenable harassment, I have decided that any company who treats me like this, even though I've been a good and loyal customer, is not worthy of my support.

So, congratulations, you have your money now, the full R870 (about a pair of jeans). But there's an apt saying that's very applicable to this situation: A penny wise and a pound foolish.
