No refund

To who it may concern, I bought the Sandals at Foschini last year December at Foschini Greenstone wand within 6 months the shoe fall apart in two pieces , I then took it back to the shop as per their policy if the shoe is within 6 months period they will refund , I went to the shops last month to return the shoe, they checked my records and they advise they cant find the transaction record for the shoe and they asked me if I have the receipt an di did not have it because normally I don't keep the receipt forever so they told me they cant help me, I then left the shoes in the store I called the call centre to complaint but there was no assistance as you are on hold for almost 20min and no answer, I sent a request for them to call me but till to date I haven't received any correspondence. Please can someone assist as I have an idea of closing the account.
