Negligence by Foschini employee

Hi I had account or still have with Foschini tfg because I paid off my account 3 years ago and asked to close off the account, I was asked to fill in a form to close the account but it looks like the form wasn't captured because now I keep getting calls from lawyers saying my account was handed over and I owe R785, due to the workers negligence I now have a bad name
