Manner of approach!!! What is the staff being taught during training?

I have never been so disrespected by an individual, I though I would let it slide. It was today, the 07th of Feb. 2023. I went to Foshini, at Jabulani Mall, to change the size of the vest that I bought there, on the 05th of Feb. 2023. I went there, as per usual I was in line and waited to be assisted to exchange etc. It was then my turn, I walked up to the till, greeted the young lady that was assisting me, had a general conversation. I further provided information that I had lost my slip is it possible for me to exchange, she agreed, took the vest to check for the tag. But what had happened, when I bought the vest I did not fit it, and though it would fit, but when I got home to fit, it was too big and I had worn it with a green jersey that I had bought at the abovementioned store. So, today I decided to go change to find something else.

So, since I had no slip the young lady calls, another lady that she works with to enquire about the vest, the lady took to inspect it, it was not damaged or anything the tag was still attached. The lady further smells the vest by the armpits, then asks whether have I worn it, and I answer, no, the only time I did was when I was fitting it at home. She further passes a statement that the vest smelt of oudour, meaning that I was wearing. Which was incorrect, I mentioned to her that, it was only worn, when I fitting it. She then through the vest on, the table, I ask if won't they change it, and she said with a very bad attitude through out that I should return and wait for the manager.

Her service throughout was unprofessional, I felt disrespected and I was actually disrespected for her to pass such a comment of the vest smelling of oudour of which, it did not.

I was not happy at all and I will definitely approach the store manager.
