Listed for amount due on 1 March

I am trying to apply for student loans for my children and it keeps being declined for and outstanding amount of R1315. I phoned Experian and found out that this amount was for my Foschini account for which I paid around R1400 on 14 January and R1400 on 24 January. I was finally able to draw a statement on my Foschini account today and it says that an amount of R1315 is due by 1 March. Why is this amount then listed as outstanding on Experian!! I am struggling with the bank even with a letter from Foschini to say that the account is up to date. Is it even legal to list you on Experian so fast. This letter was only given to me after I got very upset with a very rude lady at the Foschini customer service call centre,
