Interest charged on late payment

I am a sassa pensioner and get my pension by the 3rd of each month. If you don't pay Foschini on the 1st then they charge you interest for late payment. In the past you could pay up to the 7th of each month. They also don't allow to change your payment date. Can someone please investigate if this is right.that they charge interest Thank you
