Interest charged on account paid on 4th

i was very surprised when I checked my latest statement to find that I was charged R22 interest on my 6 months account that was not in arrears. I paid R500 on 24 January 2015, more than 50% than the amount due by 1 February 2015. The amount due on 1 March was R75.00. I paid R1000 on 4 March. When I enquired about the interest charged, I was informed that I paid late! <br> <br> I was under the impression that one has until the 7th of each month to pay, not at Foschini. I wonder how much income Foschini generate in this way and how many unsuspected customers are caught in the same way. Best is to only pay the amount due. That is certainly what I will be doing in future.
