HORRIBLE DEHUMANISING SERVICE

Today 10/08/2024 between 13:00 & 13:32 u was at foschini west-gate mall in Roodepoort , where I experienced the worst service EVER !

I got into the store picked up 2 dresses , a pleated skirt and a top ( all this items were white in colour)

I walk to the fitting room and as I walked in a lady (I don’t know her name) comes RUDELY grabs the items and says “ you can’t fit white” and as I’m about to ask why ,she walks away, I then figure it out that she is going to get me same items in different colours. ( I had figure it out because she didn’t tell me ) Okay, now I’m waiting there confused for a good 3-4 minutes .

She then comes back with 1 dress , 2 skirts and 2 tops in the colours she likes right.

So I ask her again why can’t I fit the white clothes, she says because I will make them DIRTY and it’s a RULE , so I say to her but how ? I’m not wearing makeup and I tell her that I need to fit the white items because I need check if they are not “see through “/ “transparent “ before I buy them , then she says I’m telling you, you can’t fit them it’s a rule , i don’t make the rules, so now I say to her so must I take them home and bring them back , she says if you want but if they are dirty we are not going to take them back And as I try to ask her again how I’m I going to make them dirty she walks away and calls a guy by the name of “MO” . And she says to MO “Talk to this customer “ and she goes on with her life . Now this means I have to explain myself AGAIN….imagine having to explain yourself just to fit an item .

But I did and thankfully MO was helpful and allowed me to fit the items

But i still left the store feeling very angry, Because why are you selling white clothes if you don’t want your customers to try them on ?

Secondly, why are the rules not written anywhere in the store , why is this dehumanising rule a secret

This was definitely my last purchase! 🤬
