Highly disappointed

Worst experience i had ever had at TFG, considering the number of years being a customer / account holder . The attitude from a lady (Mandisa) hope i got the name right, working at the sales point on the 22nd July 2025.

I was at the store on the 19th July 2025 to make a lay bye, was told there is a promotion that ends on Monday 20th July. I made a keep aside on the item and promised to come back Tuesday 22nd July 2025:

1. Was told the item has been sold without her even having look in their "store area" until i questioned how is that possible because i was told if the item will be sold they would contact me then only she looked and found it.

2. She asked me to "wait" for her a little while because she is busy writing down all the other lay bye's that she had on the counter. Complaining on how much lay bye's she had for the day and this (my one) is the last lay bye she is doing for the day.

3. Without her saying a word to me, she brought her hand forward, I asked what she needed from me, she said my ID and told her I have my drivers license, "well i need your ID" she said with a straight face. At my surprise I have never had to produce my ID when making a lay bye with TFG my drivers license has always been sufficient.

4. She sent me to go plead with her manager to make a lay bye without my ID, and the manager approved the lay bye. (Did not take note of the managers name, but thanks to her that I did not have to make my 3rd return to Maponya).

It was my first time shopping at Foschini Maponya and defiantly will not be going back. Pity I still need to collect my lay bye there.
