Foshini created their own new laws and charge their costomers interest and other changes without them being aware of it.

As times are tough and i am not employed, i have decided to check all my accounts and asked for a print out for the last 12 months. I am shocked by discovering that Foshini charges interest and sms charges monthly on my account that is NOT in arrears. Upon contacting them on my cell phone, asking the agent to please call me back as i have already been holding on for some time, her reply was that they are not allowed to call the customers.... Seriously and guess what, the manager is not available... in fact it is now two days and im still waiting for the manager to call me. I have spoken to a legal friend and they recon that the incidental credit agreement which they now ride on.. is unconstitutional. The law does allow for a 7day payment window in all credit agreements. Thereafter your account is in arrears and then they are allowed to charge 2% not if you pay a day later. I never agreed to this nor the sms charges of R2.85 per sms. If Foshini does this to their 3 million account holders they are the only company that is striving in SA. I have asked for a recon for the last four years now as this call centre agent said they have changed their rules a couple of years ago. I never agreed to this and feel that this is how we are being crippled. To pay R600 per year is a lot for an employed person. I have had this account for years and always pay on or before the 7th of each month. I feel that this should be acceptable in society. I would like a response from Foshini and i have also emailed them that i do not agree with their new terms and condition's that was never relayed to me as their new paperless rules is to sms your statement and amount due monthly! No statement are being printed with notifications. Thank you kindly Brenda Els ********** 953
