Foschini gateway pathetic once again
I was given a gift by a dear friend. It was a grey suit from Foschini Chatsworth. I live in Umhlanga. So when i tried the suit on the coat was a bit small. So i take the suit into Gateway branch today to change for a bigger size, the lady Ruane with much attitude tells me i cannot exchage if i don't have the receipt or gift receipt. I mean if i was given a gift do i ask for the receipt as well. Logic will tell you that its rude to ask that. So i told her i dont have. She said she cant help me . So i asked her to call another store to get it for me. My point is if someone gives you a gift and if it is not suitable must we just take the gift and sit with it or must we give it to our ****. If the store policy is one and terms and conditions are one then why do some stores do the exchange and some don't. This is the third time had this experience. Last month my husband went to purchase a cologne. So he took the cologne and came to look for me as i was in the kids section of clothing. Another consultant so rudely tells him he cant take it anywere he must leave it there. Was he going to ***** the cologne? Do they judge people and the pockets and ability to spend by how people dress???
