Fishini insurance claim

Hi, I bought a phone about 3years ago. I took out an insurance on it at the same time. Almost a year ago it I bought myself a new phone, to help me run my business. My still good working phone I gave to my 26 year old son, who had it for about a year. Unfortunately it got ****** from out under the counter at work. When I attempted to claim, my claim was rejected because I gave the phone to my son. I, was still paying the I surance. But my claim was rejected. I don't feel that it is fair as is my phone, and I am still paying the insurance. My advice to all if you ever think of buying a phone, do not buy from Foshini, and do not insure your phone through their insurance. They happily take your money, but when it comes to paying they have all sorts of fine print excuses not to honor the claim. I have been with the foshini group for over 20 years. I have other devices that I have bought from them aswell. I never claimed for any of them. The lady at the fichini branch where I reported the ****** phone, told me that I can not claim without the box the phone came in when I bought it. I did not have the phone box as we moved and the box is in storage. It was only after I phoned the head office that they told me what I need to claim. The service and the out come of the claim was very disappointing. My advice again is not ot fall for the empty promises, you will be sorely disappointed.
