DISGUSTED BY THE INSULTS I GOT FROM THE STORE MANAGER AT THE DONNA CLARE STORE IN EASTGATE MALL
Good day,
I am very disappointed and disgusted with the service i got from your branch manager at the eastgate store of donna clare, I have been a customer of theirs for a long time now, and each time i buy clothes from this store my bill comes close to R3000.00, It was end of September 2018, that i purchased a whole lot of garments from them, one of the garments was a blue and white pin stripe summer skirt which costed R490.00, let me first say their prices of clothing is neither cheap, but because it is quality i always buy from this store. as stated i purchased this skirt and i was so eager to use it as i had a function and it was exactly what i was looking for, I bought the garment and walked out without checking it, only to see next morning while ironing it that the garment was a reject and it looked like it had been burned and there was a hole on the garment which just kept tearing,
on the 5/10/2018, i went to the store to tell them about this garment and the fault it had and wanted to exchange it for another one, I had nothing to hide so i explained to the store manageress that upon ironing the garment myself, i discovered that this garment was a reject. I was so shocked when the manager imp**** that i was the one who burned it and now im trying to give it back. i was so furious at her words and i told her that had i burned it i would not have returned it and accepted the fault. Or i would have **** and would not have mentioned i was ironing the garment, then i picked up the fault. but it was not my fault, the only fault i had was not checking this garment while in the store. please note that this is not the first time i had picked up faults with donna clare garments, there were numerous times, where i found garments had holes, or thread coming out and even lipstick stains on the garment. the manager refused to understand my point in this, and clearly this tear was not caused by an iron stone, i also picked up while in the store, two more holes on the garment which i didnt pick up early. and i showed her, and she still insisted i had done this.
she then took a picture of the garment and said she will be calling the area manager to see what they had to say about it, today is Monday and i still didn't get feedback from them. R490.00 might seem monopoly money for such a big company, however it is a lot to me, and i could have bought or used this money on other things.
i am truly disgusted by the insult i have received fro the eastgate donna clare store in Johannesburg, and i promise, i am going to close my account up, im also going to reveal my experience on all the social media and ensure future customers do not get the same disgraceful insults i have faced with this store. I would rather take my business to another store like milady's and edgars who is always willing to go the extra mile for their customers, and who acknowledges that customers are always right.
I would like to know what is the RCS/FOSCHINI/DONNA CLARE GROUP, is going to do about this. as i can even take a polograph test to say that i did not damage the garment and i had purchased this garment like this at the store, and once that is done, i will be taking legal action for deformation of character.
I await your response. Mrs Thiloshnee Juta
