Closed account not closed- now on ITC

At the end of 2014 I closed my account at Foschini. I went to the branch in Plettenberg Bay. The lady said she had to call head office to do it. She asked me to pay an amount (I can't recall but I think it was about R150) to close the account. I paid the amount and was told that the account is now closed. In April 2015 I app**** for vehicle finance. The lady from the financing company let me know that I was on ITC for an unpaid Foschini account. I went to The Grove mall in Pretoria and asked why my account was not closed. THe lady could not give me an answer but phoned head office AGAIN. Again, there was an amount to be paid (probably interest?) even though the account was supposed to be closed. I paid it, because it was the easiest way of getting off ITC. I asked if the account was now closed and the lady said yes, but that I can never have a Foschini account again. I said that's wonderful because that was my goal all along. Today I got a call from the legal department. I have been handed over for R23!!! WHAT??? How many times do I have to ask for my account to be closed??? THis is totally ridiculous. Now I am on ITC again because of your incompetence! UNACCEPTABLE
