Charging for sms notif

Every month I get sms message from DC, advising that account is about to go into arrears. Normally around 4th or 5th even though account is def NOT in arrears. No statement from DC in about 8 months, DC blames the PO. Have queried regarding electronic accounts, but DC or TFG does not do that is what I get told every month. This month, I actually received a paper account and lo and behold, there is a SMS charged fee of R2,51. How many other people are paying this without even knowing about it. Called DC, spoke to Ashleigh who kept telling me I paid late in Jan therefore there was interest charged. Yes, I did pay late because I was away, but that was not my query. My query involves the sending of unwanted sms's and the charge. Dear Ashleigh, either did not understand the question or did not know the answer as the reply was not written in front of her so after putting me on hold for 10 mins she came back with the same story and then hung up on me.<br> Called back and asked for the team leader/supervisor and LeighAnn advised that the sms was sent in error, my account no in arrears and the amount will be refunded.
