Bad service

This morning I went to foschini maponya mall to exchange an item my uncle bought in a form of a gift, the lady by the name of Esther assisted and and I asked her to please refund in a form of a gift card not cash and she said she can't assist, I'm very disappointed cause it's not the first time I asked for a refund but I a form of a gift voucher, so what am I now supposed to do cause the person who bought the gift distroyed the receipt and is not in kzn.
