Terribly noisy unruly guests. Sleepless night

Booked a 3 night stay for my daughter and I at fordoun hotel. On checking in I asked for the quietest room because my daughter is a very light sleeper and we specifically booked there for peace and quiet. Firstly the room was not of a 5 star standard and bathroom was terrible. On our second night at 12.30 after midnight someone banged at our door and tried opening it. We heard people walking around making a loud noise. We were terrified. I could not sleep after that and only got my sleep at around 5 am. At 6.30 am we then heard a big group of men screaming and banging and making a loud noise. I complained to management and was told they were very sorry and they knew who it was and that they had checked out. That was all. Noone can replace my one night of lost sleep. I feel like a zombie today. Very unhappy with the place
