Burnt Up Ford Service

Clearly the Ford Kuga is not the only thing bursting into flames at Ford, now their customer service is following suit.

The service I received at Eagle Ford JHB was disgusting to say the least. I had issues with my ignition, I took the car to Eagle Ford and requested that they check out my ignition issues AND scheduled my car for its 100 000km service. The service advisor Anneline promised to provide me feedback about what is required to be done with the car, provide quotes etc. 1st of all I received a quotation with another car's details reg no., car model etc everything was incorrect even my name and I was expected to sign and authorise the labour quoted in that incorrect quotation???!!! I called and clarified that the details were wrong and that was later corrected. I should have known that things will go downhill from here.

4 days after dropping off my car I was advised my car was ready for me to pick up. I arrived around 4:15pm - 4:45pm, paid for the work done (+-R8000) , as soon as I apporached my vehicle I could SMELL that something was wrong. When I asked one of the technicians what the smell was he said he was not working on my car therefore cannot tell me what the fumes were. I was informed by another Ford technician that it seems there might be something wrong with the battery as the car is not starting. At this point I asked to speak to the technician assigned to my car (the service advisor was nowhere to be found probably gone home already). He told me my battery was messed up and I needed to buy a new one. First of all there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with the battery when I brought the car AND the service advisor MADE NO MENTION OF THE BATTERY NEEDING TO BE CHANGED.

Its 5:30pm, no service advisor, no technician and the car I was ADVISED TO PICK UP could not even start. The technicians jumpstarted my car and told me to go buy a new battery (after 5:30pm on a friday) and make sure that "I keep the car running". I mean why the hell was I not informed that my car needed a new battery??!! Why did the quotation not make mention of this NEW ISSUE??!! Is this a case of technicians *****ing my battery or a service advisor who could not care less??!!

I had to make sure I kept my car running until I found a spare shop that closed at 6pm in the dodgiest part of JHB. Apparently my battery was leaking of battery acid and was in bad shape. HOW DO I TAKE MY CAR IN AND NOT GET ADVISED OF THIS ISSUE (which ofcos was never there when I dropped off the car neither was it quoted as an issue needing to be fixed)

I am utterly disgusted with the service I recieved. How I miss Kempster Ford Umgeni - now THOSE GUYS treat your car like their own. Eagle Ford should cut a pattern from their excellent customer service. I am officially leaving Ford. As I shop around for a new car I am certainly not looking to get a new ford. THANK GOD Mazda separated themselves from Ford...! Sies..!!
