WILL NEVER USE FORD CREDIT AGAIN

I will never in my life use Ford Credit/Absa ever again. my ex absconded with my Ranger and since then I have had no support from Ford Credit/ABSA, I gave them the addresses he moved to, they appointed tracers as well, who spoke to him and still no return of the vehicle why did the tracers stop persuing him. Can someone explain to me how the law works that the bank as the current owner (till I pay my last installment) do not have the right to reposes the vehicle from a 3rd party. They are just escalating my cost with legal fees both ways and summonses for the return of the vehicle, yet when asked for a letter to allow me to get a court order I AM TOLD ITS A PRIVATE MATTER BETWEEN ME AND THE 3RD PARTY. This has been ongoing for 20 months .DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A BANK WHO REALLY WANTS THE VEHICLE BACK. Can anybody explain this to me.
