FALSE PRESENTATION / DE*****ED/ ****MED

We signed up in 2016, we got the wonderful sales pitch which made us so excited too be part of this Club and it will be cost effective however we should have checked the bad reviews of the Club. We had paid cash for the joining fee and the wonderful accounts department didn't allocate the payment. There was an amount which was debited over 10 months for what? And then we are charged a Levy and for Annual Subscriptions each year which goes off religiously. Which is a total waste of money. Because we are not getting our monies worth. When we joined SILVERSANDS was part of the Club and the reason why we joined is that we were tired of buying other people’s accommodation and being charged a fortune. Now since we have this membership whenever we require for a desired resort there is no accommodation. And now Silver Sands is not part of the Club which is very sad. We love Silver Sands and it’s so convenient. In these few years of owing the membership and we received vouchers for discounted holidays an spa treatments have expired. Every time we call or email for Accommodation for our required period there's nothing ever available. In 2016 we were allocated with 7000 Points , in 2017 we were allocated with 7000 points in 2018, 7182 point and in 2019, 7376 points, in total there should be 28560 points but my points balance shows an amount of 21558, 7002 points lost which equally are part payment for a 6 sleeper chalet? We were never informed either by mail or a telephone call to advise that our points were going to expire. I was also charged R500 for a cancellation but on point 33 of the Membership Agreement it makes note that you can cancel a reservation up to 28 days without losing and Points or Holiday Savings. I have requested on numerous occasions for accommodation for Mauritius, Thailand or the Cruise and they now say that it is only on a cash basis no points or holiday savings are used as it is an added benefit. With the current economy where do people even have extra money too pay in additional costs? The manager said that the CLUB does not support Island Holidays? But surely they can go to their Partners for the desired accommodation? This is a total money making pyramid scheme which we have been caught in.

Dear Mr & Mrs  John  Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and for  giving us the opportunity to discuss them.  As discussed, the administration fee charged is for a cancellation of booking in terms of section 35 of the Club Rules, as you noted in our discussion.  International travel is sourced via worldwide associated exchange partners to try and meet member’s needs and is subject only to availability.  The Club offers additional services for cruises and Mauritius to get the best possible rates, as your Club does not own space on the cruise-boats, nor in Mauritius, where timeshare has not been permitted for many years.  The latter are services provided for the members at very competitive rates and have to be paid for in cash as they are in effect “rented in” for each specific member.  In respect of cruises, members do receive a small discount when travelling.  We will action your final request and advise accordingly.  Kind Regards The Flexi Club Team
