Unprofessional rip-off company

I needed my dishwasher repaired and called Fixitt.

3 Fixitt staff members came to my house. I paid R845 for a call out fee plus assessment fee (no one told me about the assessment fee before) to finally receive a quote 15 days and 3 phone calls later.

The quote included a thread bolt and washer for R1297 plus R675 per hour repair, 15-21 working days, but still depending on suppliers SOH. The R450 assessment fee which was charged before was supposed to be converted into labor on acceptance of the quote. The quote did not take this into consideration and a PRE-PAYMENT of the full amount of R1972 was asked for before the repair was scheduled.

I phoned to question the quote, but as I experienced before, no one from management was available and the receptionist can't answer any questions. Left a message to please call back. No phone call received. I send 3 emails to all six staff members who were copied into the quote. One week later no reply.

The thread bolt costs R210 at Bosch Jbg. Stock was available. I ordered it, shipped it down to Cape Town for R60 and fixed the machine myself.

Summary, R845 lost (ok, I got to know what was wrong), Fixitt quoted R1972 (!!) for repair - which I subsequently fixed myself for R270.

I am happy to call a professionally company to repair my dishwasher, I don't have the time and everyone needs to make bread. But this quote was an absolute RIP-OFF! Customer service was non-existent (apart from the one technician who did the assessment, he was a good guy).
