Whole in First Group

Here with the report of the experience at a resort called Whole in the wall !

We booked on the bases of the photos on Booking.com .

The photos mis represented the resort ,

The whole experience started at the gate (Saturday 16:30) , the gate keeper did not know the directions to the resorts reception !

There are no signs directing to the reception, further to this when arriving at the parking area , there are no signs directing passed the swimming pool and then the open air restaurant , so it frustrating after a long trip, to be guessing what to do next !

The reception, they are friendly but not so informative , not bad though , we were lead to our unit number 5 , well there is no sight of the sea, a view into the back of the kitchen with all the noses and smells that are emitted from the kitchen , this is not a sea side holiday by far, the unit has sp****ly any grass in front of it and then the gravel parking lot , I challenge you to sit on the veranda bench and imagine that your on holiday, let me know of the experience???

We were introduced to the unit by a lady from the reception, all good , after dropping our bags, we headed for something cool to drink and eat at the restaurant . Not the best food, service also good ? , but looking on to the sea it was refreshing , then it dawned on us that we are locked in the resort like Zoo people ( animals ) with the indigenous people looking on and feasting their eyes upon all the white Girls and woman , very intimidating to say the least ! I understand why the fence , it’s barrier from the indigenous people, but really !!!

As people who live by the sea side every December holidays exploring new destinations , after eating we headed for the beach , OH MY GOSH, cattle and dog fesses, bones from remainders of Braai’s and the worst Brocken glass bottles , in the sand and on the grass, wow ! , imagine.......children who are not mindful , whole in the wall resort can not afford a child cutting there foot and bleeding to death because therein no medical service close by ! Gee this is careless!

The whole private beach experience can not be met here!

The unit , well much to be desired ! There curtain track’s don’t have ends , thus the curtains run of the tracks , the furniture , lounge suite, the wardrobe in the bedroom the side pedestal , and bar stools that are to high to enjoy a well cooked meal , I would not give the furniture away , I would burn it ! See phots !

Please do your self a favors , order your favorite meal from the restaurant ( I will pay for it ) and sit your self on the bar stool at the counter provided, ( oh the tiles are chipped ) , and tell me if you can relax and enjoy the food , ( try to fit your legs under the counter ,) while you are eating , some one goes to the toilet after doing there business , then opens opens the window, from the toilet into where you are eating your food wafts toilet smell all over your food and into your nostrils! This is not legal building practice of South Africa !

Some one who has a ant ( ?) phobia will have a problem with the ants nesting under the floor (of what I assume is the second Bedroom. ) This bothers my family they do not like ants , it’s a huge issue with my wife , I had to use our doom to quell them from the area , but this was short lived , these ants where one of the main issue of leaving the resort besides the fact that we did not want to unpack our clothes into a termite eaten wardrobe.

Main bedroom , The ceiling fan did not work and the , light shade was missing !

Now for the shower , we travelled from Port Elizabeth and stoped over to visit at Morgans bay , from there the road experience is hazardous, needs much patients, carefully, and focused driving , including passengers ! A shower would be perfect to wash the stresses away , turned on the taps ! No water , now it’s 18:30 , right through the night the water on, off, on , off , on, off, we ended sleeping with the grim of the travel day , so uncomfortable! Sunday afternoon , the sewerage rode eye situated between unit 4 and 5 spewed Swerage, I had to wash me feet and slip slops of Swerage! Gross Man Gross !

The room where the shower exits is called a bathroom, well this one in unit 5 is called a building mess up , the hand basin is located behind the door so that the door can not be fully opened, so as we like to accompany each other in the bathroom there no space for this, besides this , it’s obvious that the basin is build in the incorrect location , it should be in the empty space next to the toilet , still if it where located there there is minimal space to enjoy a shower ! Check the photo of the toilet system it’s soiled !

The next morning ( Sunday )we decided to leave made the arrangements and informed the reception at about 12:00. They did not have the intelligence to ask why ? We did not take it further than that and asked where to leave the keys, we were Leaving at 05h00 the Monday morning !

That evening ( Sunday the second experience ) unit no 4 , had a loud drunken party until 03:00 so loud the we could hear what they were saying if we understood Zulu! , the worst is the lights went out , zero electricity ! From about 9:30 to we don’t know because up until we left 04:45 there was no electricity!

We are so surprised that this Resort is associate with Myconos and Magalies Park , that’s managed by the First Group.

There is more fault than the management of Whole In the wall , 1. Yes ! Management needs attention to detail 2. Maintenance is none existent ! 3. Advertising as a sea views , not true ! 4. Private beach mis represent! 5. Zoo People ! image1.jpeg image2.jpeg image3.jpeg image4.jpeg image5.jpeg image6.jpeg image7.jpeg image8.jpeg image9.jpeg image10.jpeg Kind Regards Garth Bentley POLIFILM SOUTH AFRICA
