FIRSTHELP24 GROUP (TOWING) : GRIEVANCES & COMPLAINTS
I was involved in an accident last night in Linden, the first people to arrive on scene was FirstHelp24 Group Towing Company.
Upon their arrival i was assisted by a man named Shonie (063) ********** “. He said he would tow the car to a storage yard and id be able to collect it later today. The accident occured at 1am, 28th Janaury 2019. I signed that document in a traumatic state between 1:05 & 1:10. Upon agreement with the liable party, who stated he has insurance. We agreed on a third party claim in the presence of Shonie from FirstHelpGroup.
Monday Morning between 10:00am & 12:00pm i arrived in rooderport at their yard. To come collect the vehicle, i was then told there should be a release payment of up to R10 782.50, considering the accident happened at 1am and i came to collect at 12pm same day 28th Janaury 2019. IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN 24hrs since the accident occured! It has only been a day i was confused and baffled as the verbal agreement with Shonie did not state payment should occur upon release of the vehicle. Tasneem Meyer ********** ********** the administrator stated that R10 782.50 cannot be discounted as i pleaded for an amount more reasonable considering it has not even been 24hrs since the incident. She then proceeded to discuss the discount privately with her Team Manager : Robbie De Fritz **********
Tasneem returned to state to me that discounts are not allowed as they have a Financial internal goal of R1 Million that must be met by Thursday the 31st January? I have no idea what this meant??? What does this mean to us? But they allowed for a discount upon their own discussion between Robbie De Fritz & Tasneem Meyer which was to the amount of R8107.50 to which we further requested a discount especially considering it has not been 24hours since the accident. Surprisingly we were discounted R8107.50 which seemed ********, suspicious and unfair!!!!
Tasneem then discussed the matter with her Team Leader to which she said “I cannot go against Robbie’s word” , We as client must speak to Robbie De Fritz in person. We engaged in a discussion and he denied any further discounts.
In essence, this has happened over a period of less than 12hours and the following iternaries should be paid for release of my vehicle
- Towing = R5200 - Recovery = R1500 (the discounted amount) - Admin = R950 - Security = R500 - Storage = R350 per day
This is all seems very ******** and suspicious considering we had a discussion with another client and she stated that she has a voice recording which states towing and storage would all be free and upon her presenting the voice recording a 50% discount was given to her immediately. The dealings are clearly suspicious as the invoices are not professional as well. this makes me wonder how gullible and uninformed others have been with experience at FirstHelp24 Group / Towing.
PLEASE URGENTLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AS THEY CHARGE FOR EVERY DAY STORAGE AND THAT ACCUMULATES! ONCE AGAIN THIS SEEMS SUSPICIOUSLY ********!!
I have a receipt of the iternaries that should be paid but clearly do not make sense! Towing is charged higher than storage!
PLEASE ASSIST WITH THIS MATTER URGENTLY!!
