They barely have equipment. We listen to YouTube with ads while exercising. When you request to change your package to a more affordable one. You pay a fee that’s much higher than your initially package.

By far the worst club I have ever seen in my entire life. If you thought virgin active was bad, this is by far the worst, I do not recommend anyone sign up, even for a free trial. This is close to a ****, if you value your peace of mind stay far away from this club. Disgusting

On April 20 I inquired on cancellation of my membership after losing my job, I had initially requested a payment cool off period which only lasts one month after which they automatically start debiting I then inquired on cancellation where I was charged R3660 for early cancellation I inquired on how I can make a payment arrangement and the service agent “Kelly” informed me that the amount was to be paid at once and only valid for 5 days , This after noting that I had lost primary income , I the asked if there was a form of payment arrangement , this email was not responded to. Fast forward to May I received a notice of unpaid debits and that my account would be handed over , the account’s response lady “Kelly” both arrogant and provides very little support then informs me of an amount of R5020.0 to be paid(this is more than the previous months cancellation quote) I can confidently say Fight Club SAA is running a ****, they do not know how to handle accounts , I’m also for the first time swing all the other similar reviews of my situation and would not recommend anyone to engage in a contract with them, The accounts have a slow turnaround time , and take no accountability for such , their customer service is downright poor !!!!

In July 2024, I signed a 24-month membership with Fight Club SA at R450 per month (Centurion branch). On 1 April 2025, I submitted a written cancellation request through the Fight Club support system after approximately nine months of membership. I never made use of the gym facilities during this period. The same day, I received a pro forma invoice for R4,230 described as a “rate adjustment” for early cancellation. The email stated that the cancellation would only be processed if this invoice was paid within five days. My understanding of Section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act is that consumers may cancel a fixed-term contract with notice, subject to a reasonable cancellation penalty. I disputed the amount because I believed the fee was not reasonable, particularly as the facilities had never been used. After disputing the invoice and cancelling the debit order, I began receiving notices stating that my account was in arrears and that it could be handed over for collection. The amount later escalated to R7,650 and eventually to R8,911 once debt collectors became involved. Because the cancellation dispute could not be resolved directly with Fight Club SA, I escalated the matter through mediation and eventually lodged a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO). The case is currently under investigation under reference ***. Despite the active Ombud investigation and the account being formally disputed, I have continued receiving collection attempts. I am sharing this experience so that other consumers are aware of how cancellation disputes may be handled and to encourage Fight Club SA to engage constructively with the Ombud process so that the matter can be resolved.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at FightClub SA. After using the gym only four times, I requested to cancel my membership due to a very serious issue. One of the trainers harassed my girlfriend during our time there, which made both of us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I formally complained about the incident and clearly stated on their app that neither my partner nor I feel comfortable attending their gym anymore. Despite this, they are refusing to allow me to cancel my membership. It is unacceptable to ignore a harassment complaint and then continue to force customers to remain locked into a membership. A gym should be a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, and unfortunately that has not been our experience at all. I would not recommend FightClub SA to anyone looking for a professional or respectful training environment.
