Fgro and Discovery Policy Move

I am unbelievably unhappy with the ******* service received. We decided that we would like to move our insurance to Discovery before the New Year starts. My husband contacted Fgro to find out all the details and to get a quote. After my husband and the gentleman had discussed what cover and pricing we would be looking at they dialed me into the call. Multiple times we repeated that are they sure that we won't be double debited in December because that is going to be the case then we would rather like to sign up in January to make sure things are done correctly to avoid having to be debited over R3000 which will place us in a situation. We were guarantied that they will handle the cancellation and there will not be a double debit that goes off. When we received the documents from them to sign there was no cancellation letter attached. As the clients we had to follow up on the cancellation letter as we were informed that everything is done from their side. Finally got the cancellation documents which we completed and sent back. We were informed that our current insurance will contact us to make sure that we want to go through with the cancellation which never happened. When we called our current insurance they informed us that they are not aware of any cancellation and that is why they haven't contacted us. Since we signed the documents there has been no communication as to what is happening and how things are progressing not from Fgro and also not from Discovery. This morning we woke up to a double debit order (from both our current insurance and Discovery plus and additional R150 for Fgro's services) So we are now short of money after we made sure to ask multiple times that this will not happen. I feel that nothing that was communicated to us and that was agreed on took place. This service is unexpectable. We haven't even been with Discovery for a day yet and I do not want anything to do with them anymore. If you can't keep to what you tell clients then rather do not insure the client that it will not happen. This is not the first bad experience we have had with them but we decided to give them a chance. They had the audacity to argue with my in-laws when they said that they are not interested in cancelling their current insurance to move over to Discovery. We heard how they had such a ****py way of questioning them yet for them it didn't make sense moving over to an insurance that they couldn't really get the full benefits out. Yet my in-laws were pushed to the point that my mother-in-law who is really relaxed and calm lost it after the 4th call she received just to be spoken to disrespectfully by the agent on the line. After both of these experiences I am defiantly not interested in being a Discovery client and I do want my money back as this is not what was agreed on.

After battling to get hold of the call center. The lady that picked up the call was very understanding and helpful. Even though she was not the person that made promises that were not kept she was very helpful making sure that she at least could give us the best assistance regardless of us wanting nothing to do with Fgro after what had taken place.
