You are auth to use the hospital, but you cant use Doctors or Specialist in the hospital in an emergency.

I was with Topmed for many years, then Fedhealth took them over and it's been very confusing and impossible to get the treatment as everything just gets declined. 1st issue, was at dentist, was told to go to Maxillofacial, as per the list by Fedhealth, only Arwyp Maxillofacial is covered by the scheme. I needed to go for Surgical Removal of Jaw Cyst - Got a letter - Declined - *** as Scheme rate Exclusion. So you can see the specialist, but he can not do anything for you as the medical aid does cover it. Even after you were you told that only Arwyp Maxillofacial is coved by the scheme. 2nd issue - The Jaw cyst has now caused a blood clots, that caused a stroke and was admitted into Sunward Park emergency ward and now in High care. But get this... once you are admitted you are assigned to the doctor on Duty, but the Dr on duty is not a Network Provider, so the medical aid won't pay him. So, you as the medical aid is now willing to pay for days and days now at High Care, just because you wont pay the R550 fee of the doctor, now we have to find out which doctor can assist at Sunward and start the whole process from start again? Really dont know what to do, as Fed health has a list of approved network hospitals and specialists, but you cant use any of the Drs or procedures supp**** by the hospital? That does not make sense at all.....
