Worst medical aid ever

Extremely disappointing to pay such a high premium as compared to other medical aids but get such poor service. I underwent a c section due to complications with the baby at 37 weeks. I understand the network for specialists and I used a specialist who was not under the network so I am aware of payments which I would be liable for. What I don't understand is the scheme rates which are next to nothing. The scheme paid R3700 for a c section. I think that amount is absolutely ridiculous and why would a specialist perform a surgery for such minimal payment. They also did not pay for other codes which where charged for so only one sixth of the claim was paid by fedhealth and I am liable for the rest. Definitely will be changing my medical aid after this horrific experience. Being pregnant was extremely stressful while being covered by fedhealth medical aid. Would not recommend to others.
